2.2 Recurring Payments
If this is a recurring membership, you authorize Sunshine Coast Boxing and Kick Boxing and its payment processor to automatically charge your chosen payment method for the recurring membership fees {membership_fees} at the frequency indicated ({membership_recurrence}) until your membership is cancelled in accordance with this Agreement.
I authorize recurring charges for my membership, subject to the cancellation terms in this Agreement.
2.3 Pre-Authorized Debits (If Applicable)
If you choose pre-authorized debit (PAD), you understand that:
• You may revoke your authorization at any time by providing written notice to us and/or your financial institution.
• Revoking your PAD authorization does not on its own cancel this Membership Agreement or relieve you of payment obligations for any amounts that are properly owing under this Agreement.
• You have certain recourse rights if any debit does not comply with this Agreement.
2.4 Late or Failed Payments
If a payment is returned, declined, or otherwise fails:
• You may be charged a reasonable administrative fee for each failed payment.
• Your access to the facility may be suspended until all outstanding amounts are paid.
• If your account remains unpaid, your membership may be cancelled, and outstanding amounts may be referred to a third-party collection service.

3.1 Term
The initial term of this membership is {membership_duration}, starting on {start_date} and ending on {expiration_date}, if applicable.
3.2 Maximum Length
In accordance with British Columbia consumer protection law, continuing service contracts such as gym memberships cannot exceed 24 months in length. Any renewal beyond 24 months must be done as a new written agreement.
3.3 Renewal
If your membership is set to renew:
• Renewal terms, including new fees and duration, will be provided to you in writing.
• You must agree to the renewal (for example, by signing or accepting electronically) for it to take effect.
I understand that this membership cannot exceed 24 months and that renewals require my agreement.
4. COOLING-OFF PERIOD & STATUTORY CANCELLATION RIGHTS (BC)
4.1 10-Day Cooling-Off Period
You have the right to cancel this Membership Agreement for any reason within **10 days** after you receive a copy of the agreement. If you cancel within this period, you are entitled to a full refund of any payments made, in accordance with British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
4.2 Material Change in Circumstances or Services
You may have additional rights to cancel this Agreement if there is a **material change** in your circumstances (for example, serious illness, injury, relocation) or a **material change** in the services provided by the facility, in accordance with applicable law.
4.3 How to Cancel
To cancel under the cooling-off period or due to a material change, you must provide written notice of cancellation to the facility by a method that allows you to prove the date sent (for example, email, mail, or personal delivery). Your cancellation will be effective on the date you send the notice.
Nothing in this Agreement limits or reduces your cancellation rights under British Columbia law.
I understand my 10-day cooling-off period and other cancellation rights under BC law.
5. CANCELLATION BY MEMBER (CONTRACTUAL TERMS OUTSIDE COOLING-OFF PERIOD)
Outside of the statutory rights described above, you may request cancellation of your membership as follows:
• You must provide at least **10 days’ written notice** before your next scheduled billing date.
• If you provide less than 10 days’ notice before a scheduled billing date, one final scheduled payment may still be processed.
• You remain responsible for any outstanding amounts owing up to the effective date of cancellation.
Your membership will remain active and charges will continue until the effective date of cancellation in accordance with this 10-day notice requirement and applicable law.
Specific method(s) for delivering cancellation notice (for example, email address, online form, in-person form):
If you cancel, any refund or adjustment will be calculated in accordance with applicable law.

• You engage in unsafe, abusive, or disruptive behaviour.
• You seriously or repeatedly violate facility rules.
• The facility is unable to provide services for reasons beyond its reasonable control (such as major damage, mandated closure, or other force majeure events).
